Engage audiences with highlighted and pinned paid messages during live streams and events.
Super Chat enables creators and viewers to engage more interactively with highlighted paid messages during live streams and events. This new feature allows viewers to support their favorite creators while also making their messages more visible to the streamer and other viewers.
If Super Chat is enabled for your live event, then viewers (logged in) can donate various amounts in the chat window and their chat will be pinned to the top of the chat for a certain duration (indicated on the Super Chat donation window) and the message willl be highlighted a certain color, also based on amount. A scroll bar allows user to choose donation amount and post message (see below).
💡 Your account must be connected to an active Stripe account in order to use Super Chat.
Setting up Super Chat
In your Live Event "media item" edit form, edit the Interactive Hub area. You must have Chat enabled, then you can also enable Super Chat. That's it.
How your Viewers will use Super Chat
Once Super Chat is enabled for your Live Event, viewers will see a dollar sign (💲) button at the bottom of the chat window.
When viewers click the Super Chat button, a window will appear for them to select their donation amount, write their message and pay for the donation. The amount selected (using the scroll bar) will dictate the color of the highlighted message and the duration the message will be pinned.
Once a Super Chat donation is completed, the viewer's message will appear highlighted and pinned to the top of the chat for duration indicated.
Super Chat Donation Reporting
You can easily review and report on all your Super Chat transactions by going to Reports > Revenue > Transactions in your Endavo dashboard. On the sidebar (left), select Type > Super Chat and Group By > Member to see individual member donation amounts. Click on a member to drill down on all their individual transactions.
💡 You can also review all chat messages, including Super Chats, for individual live events by reviewing Comments toward the bottom of your live event media forms.
